Africa alive 2009 - August 1, 2009 2-8pm at capital brewery
Thank you to everyone for making Africa Alive 2009 our biggest
fundraiser to date!
Africa Alive is an annual event which brings together the rhythm
and spirit of Africa and this year's Africa Alive was our biggest
yet!
Africa Alive 2009, which was the 4th annual, was a huge success,
with great entertainment, fun for the whole family and support for
a great cause, as 100% of the proceeds raised go directly to benefit
the children we support in Southern Africa. Africa Alive 2009 included
a visit from firefighters and a fire truck from Middleton
Fire Department, juggling by Madison Area Jugglers, a karate demonstration
by Infinity Martial Arts, an colorful live and silent auction and
awesome performances by Atimevu and WADOMA West African Dance! On
top of all that, children enjoyed a costume contest, face painting,
making African crafts and an interactive Youth Rhythm Circle where
they could try all kinds of instruments! The day was also filled with
brewery tours, craft and food vendors, door prizes and more!
Africa Alive 2010 will take place at the Capital Brewery on August
7th, 2010! Mark your calendars and join us for an event you don't
want to miss!
