Local Education

One of Kidlinks' main goals is to provide education and raise awareness in the Madison area, which is why members of Kidlinks give presentations about our organization, South Africa, HIV/AIDS and apartheid. We have spoken to youth groups, churches, service organizations and businesses. If you would like Kidlinks to present to your group, please email us at contact@kidlinksworld.org

Memorial High School

Kidlinks supports and assists the Memorial High School South Africa Project, whose mission is to teach all students involved to be global citizens and to build relationships student to student, student to teacher, and teacher to teacher. The South Africa Project has a core belief that the best way to dismantle cultural barriers is through sustained personal relationships rather than institutional or governmental interventions.

Cal Poly Tech Students - Work Trip to South Africa

The students in a landscape architecture course at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA traveled to South Africa in Aug/Sept of 2008 to build a memorial garden at Ikageng Itireleng AIDS Ministry and to enhance the garden at the Kei Mouth schools. The students designed and built the memorial garden so that the orphans of Ikageng Itireleng AIDS Ministry would have a place where they could memorialize their parents. The students plan to make a second trip to South Africa to enhance the garden in 2009.
